Join teaching artist Erica Colarusso (choreographer from Summer 2020's Frozen Jr.) for a 6-week dance class in which students will learn foundational hip hop and musical theatre movement, as well as learn a dance to “My Shot” from the hit musical, Hamilton!
NEW! Create your own original play in a virtual playwriting course! Students will express themselves and discover their voice while gaining valuable creative writing skills. The course will explore the playwriting process, character development, and plot structure through playful exercises and writing prompts. Students will also flex their acting muscles through being the actors of one another’s plays. See what brand new piece of theatre you can create!
It’s time to dance! Becoming a well rounded performer in musical theatre starts with having a strong foundation in dance and movement. Join us this fall for a series of dance classes curated to hone in on your technique, style, and performance skills! Along with ballet and jazz technique, you’ll receive an introduction to tap. You’ll also learn choreography from hit Broadway musicals like Catch Me If You Can and Wicked, to present in a final showcase at the end of the session.
Whether you’ve been in several shows or this is your first foray into acting, let Theatre Aspen help you improve your confidence on stage! Learn how to analyze a script, make strong choices, and solidify your foundations as a performer. This 7-week course will expand your current skill set and culminates in a scene showcase to share with friends and family.
Come learn and grow with this in-person class at Theatre Aspen! In our Elementary Story Adventure classes, students will deepen their appreciation for the arts through the exploration of new and classic children’s literature. Artistic expression, performing confidence, and peer collaboration will all be in the spotlight for these fun-filled 5-week sessions.
Dive deep on your acting skills in this 10-week course. Performing for an audience may be put on hold. But you can still practice acting techniques, and learn the nuances of performing for the camera. Each student will work on one or more scenes and develop a performance for the screen. While not a film production class, students will also get more familiar with working in front of and behind camera, and open up new possibilities for performance.

Always dreamed of performing in Radio City’s Christmas Spectacular? Join us this winter for a series of dance classes dedicated to improving technique in jazz, musical theatre, and tap! While strengthening your skills, you’ll learn choreography dedicated to the holiday season, including 2 full tap numbers from Irving Berlin’s White Christmas! to perform in a final showcase at the end of the session. Get into the holiday spirit while also becoming a stronger dancer for the stage!
